Since year 1992,\u00a0\u00a0 AOS has developed\u00a0 many\u00a0 scientific events\u00a0 and has done\u00a0 continuous efforts,\u00a0 in order to recognize itself inside country and abroad. It\u2019s continually in attempt to create new relationship, on purpose not only for our memberships participation, but in order of organization in the future, in common scientific activities with other analogous of\u00a0 Balkan, South East, West Europe, countries etc\u2026 Beginning since year 2004 and until now,\u00a0 many ophthalmologists of our country, have participated at organized congresses, that relied upon of South East European Ophthalmology\u00a0 Society of countries as Bosnia \u2013 Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Albania, Turkey, Slovenia, Macedonia , etc.<\/p>\n
Since year 1992, in continuity, many its members have participated at meetings of ophthalmological analogues societies of neighboring countries as in Italy, Greece ,Kosovo as at some other activities organized on a large regional degree and whole as in\u00a0 France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, USA etc.<\/p>\n
Since founding time on year 1992 and until now in our country are organized 5\u00a0 Scientific Symposiums, 15\u00a0 National Scientific Conferences and 5 National Anual Congress of AOS. In some cases the organization was been with international participation from neighboring and regional contries, as Italy, Greece, Macedonia, Slovenia dhe Kosovo etc.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The I-st\u00a0 National Conference<\/strong> was held on 13-14 February 1996 at \u201cInternational Tirana\u201d Hotel with the theme: \u201cPrevention of blindness in Albania\u201d in collaboration with \u201cThe international Eye Foundation\u201d \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The X-th National Conference of AOS<\/strong> was\u00a0 held, on\u00a0 24 April, 2010 at \u201cMondial\u201d Hotel, in Tirana. , in cooperation with University Eye Clinic and Ophthalmological Department of Medical Faculty.\u00a0 In conference participated 80 ophthalmologists and held 20 scientific references from AOS memberships. At the same time, during this conference defined tasks and objectives for the future time.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The First National Congress of AOS<\/strong>. (The XI-th\u00a0National Conference of the\u00a0 Albanian Ophthalmological Society), 18 June 2011.)<\/p>\n The I-st\u00a0 National Congress of the\u00a0 Albanian Ophthalmological Society\u00a0 (AOS), held on 18 June 2011, at\u00a0 \u201cTIRANA INTERNATIONAL\u201d HOTEL. \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The II-nd National Congress of AOS (The XII-th\u00a0 National Conference of the\u00a0 Albanian Ophthalmological Society and The II National Conference of ASCRS)<\/strong>,\u00a0 24 November 2012.<\/p>\n The II-nd\u00a0 National Congress of the\u00a0 Albanian Ophthalmological Society (AOS)<\/strong> held on 24 November 2012, at\u00a0 \u201cTIRANA INTERNATIONAL\u201d HOTEL. In congress participated 157 persons , ophthalmologists, general physicians, pharmacist and nurses from medical institutions of our country and neighbor countries\u00a0 as Kosovo and Slovenia , etc.\u00a0 During the conference were\u00a0 held\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 26\u00a0 scientific different topics and as a special invited person was Prof.Dr.Xhevat Lumi\u00a0 from Eye University Clinic of Ljubljana , Slovenia. The III-nd\u00a0\u00a0 National Congress of the Albanian Ophthalmological Society (AOS)<\/strong> held on 23 November 2013, at\u00a0 \u201cTIRANA INTERNATIONAL\u201d HOTEL. In congress participated over 50 % of AOS\u00a0 memberships and developed next\u00a0 elections\u00a0 for new Management Organs of AOS. During\u00a0 elections by majority votes as a chairman of AOS , was\u00a0 elected Dr.Ndue Bardhi.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The IV-th National Congress of AOS (The XIV-th\u00a0 National Conference of the\u00a0 Albanian Ophthalmological Society and The IV National Conference of ASCRS)<\/strong>, 21 \u2013 23 November 2014.<\/p>\n The IV-th\u00a0 National Congress\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0 the Albanian Ophthalmological Society ( AOS)<\/strong> held on 21 \u2013 23 November 2014 at Albanian Telemedicine Center and at the \u201cTIRANA INTERNATION HOTEL\u201d. Scientific Conference developed with this topic: \u201cNowadays developments and trends on diagnosis\u00a0 and treatment of the eye diseases\u201d. In this congress participated 149 persons . From them , participated 102 ophthalmologists , coming from Albania and Kosovo , and other generally and specialists physicians , pharmacists and nurses , etc.. In congress participated 21 lecturers from Albania and regional countries, and presented 32 different scientific topics.<\/p>\n The V National Congress of AOS, & XV National Conference of Albanian Ophthalmological Society<\/strong>, held on 4-5 December 2015, at Albanian Telemedicine Center and at the “Tirana International” HOTEL, Scientific Congress developed with the topic “Recent Development on Current diagnosis and adequate treatment, on purpose of blindness prevention”. In this congress participated 105 persons from Albania, as well as, from Kosovo, Italy etc. From them were 71 ophthalmologists, 14 general doctors and pharmacists. At the same time have participated 8 nurses and imaging technician, as well as, 12 trainees from Albania and Kosovo. In Congress were invited 17 lecturer,\u00a0 whom presented 30 different scientific topics.<\/p>\n The VI-the <\/sup>National Congress of Albanian Ophthalmological Society, <\/strong>( The XVI National Conference of AOS & The VI-th <\/sup>\u00a0National Conference of ASCRS)<\/p>\n The VI \u00a0National Congress of AOS, <\/strong>\u00a0held on\u00a0 26 November 2016, at the \u201cTirana International\u201d HOTEL, in Tirana, Albania. Scientific\u00a0Program developed with the topic \u201cRecent development of ophthalmology in our country, as in\u00a0 neighboring and regional countries\u201d.<\/strong> In this congress participated 155 persons.\u00a0 From them, there were 113 ophthalmologists and\u00a0 42\u00a0 general doctors , pharmacists and nurses,\u00a0 whom came from Albania, Italy , Sweden , Greece and Kosovo . In Congress were invited 20 lecturers,\u00a0 whom presented 24 different scientific topics.<\/p>\n The VII-the National Congress of Albanian Ophthalmological<\/strong> Society,\u00a0<\/strong>( The XVII National Conference of AOS & The VII-th National Conference of ASCRS)<\/p>\n The VII National Congress of AOS<\/strong>, held on 25-26 May 2018, at the “Tirana International” HOTEL,in Tirana, Albania. Scientific Program developed with the topic “Recent development of ophtamology in our country, as in neighboring and regional countries”. In this congress participated 138 persons. From them, there were 125 ophthamologists and 13 general doctors, pharmacists and nurses, whom came from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia. In Congress were invited 13 lecturers, whom presented 19 different scientific topics.<\/p>\n The VIII National Congress of AOS<\/strong>, held on 26-28 May 2023, at the “Tirana International” HOTEL,in Tirana, Albania. In this congress participated 127 persons. \n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The II-nd National Conference<\/strong> was held on 26-27 October 2001, in Tirana with participation of some neighboring countries Kosovo, Bulgaria with theme: \u201cPediatric Ophthalmology\u201d. The conference was organized in honor of Albanian Ophthalmologist, Docent Doctor Andrea Aroni (after death).
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The III-rd\u00a0 National Conference<\/strong> was held on 16 November 2002 in Tirana with theme: \u201cLife and work of professor Kristo Kristidhi\u201d on the occasion of one hundred annual of his birthday. At the same time have organized new elections and was defined the new board of society. On year 2002 as chairman of society was elected Prof.Dr Gjergji Cepa.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0AOS in cooperation\u00a0 with\u00a0 Eye University\u00a0 Clinic and Alcon Pharmaceutical company, on 14 March 2003, at Tirana \u201cInternational Hotel\u201d,\u00a0 organized symposium with theme: \u201cAlcon and Ophthalmology\u201d.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The IV-th National Conference<\/strong> was organized on 20-21 May 2005 with the theme: \u201cAnesthesy\u00a0 in Ophthalmology\u201d
\nat \u201cRogner\u201d Hotel, in Tirana.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The V-th\u00a0 National Conference<\/strong> was held on 17 June\u00a0 2006, at \u201cTirana International\u201d Hotel .At this time, in the General Meeting of society developed new elections, when elected new management organs up to year 2009.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The VI-th\u00a0 National Conference<\/strong> was held on 16 December 2006 at \u201cMondial\u201d Hotel in Tirana.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The VII-th\u00a0 National Conference<\/strong> was held on 15 December 2007 at \u201cTirana International\u201d Hotel with the theme: \u201cRetinal diseases and its current treatments\u201d.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The VIII-th National Conference of AOS<\/strong> was held on 5-6 April 2008, at \u201cSplendid\u201d Hotel, in Budva,\u00a0 Montenegro.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In this meeting held some representations from Albanian and foreign physicians and done the presentation and promotion\u00a0 of some medicine from Pharmila- Thea firm, for Albania. The conference was sponsored from \u201cSulkaj\u201d pharmaceutical private company.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The IX-th\u00a0 National Conference of AOS<\/strong> was held on 20-21 December 2008, in Struga City, Macedonia.
\n\u00d8 On 19 December 2009 at \u201cMondial\u201d Hotel, in Tirana, organized the General Meeting of AOS and developed new elections\u00a0 for\u00a0 new Chairmanship\u00a0 and Management Council of AOS.
\nWith majority of the votes as chairman of the society elected \u201cScientific Medical Doctor\u201d,\u00a0 Dr. Ndue Bardhi.<\/p>\n
\nThe Congress organized on remember of\u00a0 honor\u00a0\u00a0 scientific life and\u00a0 professional work of\u00a0 military and known ophthalmologist, Docent, Dr. Skender Sinoimeri. Activity developed according its program and participated\u00a0 68 persons, memberships of AOS,\u00a0\u00a0 ophthalmologists and nurses from different medical institutions of our country.
\nIn this event is invited\u00a0 Dr.Periklis Tachiaos , director of the ophthalmological clinic in \u201cIppokrateio\u201d hospital,\u00a0 Thesaloniki \u2013 Greece. During the congress\u00a0 held\u00a0\u00a0 12\u00a0 scientific different topics were given some information in about the best annual organization of future congresses, on last of year 2011 and continuity.<\/p>\n
